Where do you buy weapons?
You can buy guns from Stiffleg's rotating stock inside the Church.
His inventory refreshes when you return to the Church. You unlock a wider selection as you explore further. His listed gun selection gives examples, rather than a guarantee that he sells every gun.
Ralphie sells all major ammunition types, Repair Kit, and Pineapple Grenade as fixed stock. You can find her beside the Church. She also repairs guns for coins.
How is weapon damage calculated?
You calculate base damage by multiplying ammunition damage, the weapon class multiplier, and any individual weapon multiplier.
Base damage = ammunition damage × class multiplier × individual weapon multiplier.
| Ammunition | Base ammunition damage |
|---|---|
| 9mm | 60 |
| 5.56mm | 80 |
| 7.62mm | 100 |
| .50 BMG | 200 |
| 12Ga | 20 × 8 |
| Energy Cell | 50 |
| Weapon class | Class multiplier |
|---|---|
| Pistols, SMGs, LMGs | 1.0 |
| Revolvers | 1.6 |
| Assault rifles | 1.2 |
| Rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns | 2.0 |
For example, Snut .38 uses 9mm: 60 × 1.6 = 96 base damage.
Individual multipliers can change that result. Bronco 89 adds a 1.5 multiplier: 60 × 1.0 × 1.5 = 90.
You can change ammunition with a Chamber Chisel, changing base damage and recoil. Energy weapons cannot change caliber. Weapon quality is fixed for each weapon and does not change its stats.
Why do some damage values differ?
Beck 8 has listed damage of 60, while a 1.0 preview gives 66. Chimera Rapid has 88 versus 80 in that preview. Deathstar PG has 80 versus 96 in that preview.
The preview used a non-public build, so those alternatives remain unconfirmed for the public release. You should check your gun's tooltip before relying on a disputed value.
Energy weapons also have conflicting recoil descriptions: zero recoil versus a small increase in the 1.0 preview. You should not assume every current energy weapon has zero recoil.
What are the best weapons in SULFUR?
You can use Vrede for balanced close-to-medium range shooting, or Klein Bauer for its high firing rate.
- Compare the best weapons in SULFUR for Vrede, Klein Bauer, and Catacoil Rapid X recommendations.
Which gun builds should you try?
You can build Majordome for long-range shotgun fire with Late Boom Oil and Dead Center Oil.
- See the best gun builds for SULFUR for the full Majordome combination and an Augusta setup.
How do you remove weapon attachments?
You remove attachments for a fee at the Weapon Workbench beside Ralphie, near the Church.
- Check SULFUR weapon attachments for attachment types, removal, and Chamber Chisel rules.
The workbench returns your attachments. Enchantments require the Baptismal Font instead.
